Located on top of the vineyards in Remich, we are a small winery that puts all its passion into our wine fields. We believe that quality wines are made in harmony with nature and only first-class grapes are used to create wines with character. 

We exported this philosophy to Bordeaux and Côtes de Roussillon, where we work in collaboration with local winemakers that share our vision.

A good wine deserves an ideal environment to be fully enjoyed. At our winery, Am Wäikeller, anywhere we bring our wine, we work hard to be worthy to enjoy wine.

PASSION, RESPECTING THE VINEYARD AND OENOLOGICAL COMPETENCE
These three key words summarise the approach of the family-owned Domain Laurent & Rita Kox, situated in the small picturesque town of Remich on the left bank of the Moselle river. Laurent, son of the Domain’s founder, early on loved to spend time in the hillsides above Remich and to live the cycle of the vines’ grapes. He fulfilled his dream by converting his hobby into profession. The innovative Kox Domain always looks into the latest technological solutions in order to bring about the best qualities of the Riesling – the aristocrat of the Luxembourg white wines – the strength of the Pinot Blanc, the smoothness of the Auxerrois or the femininity of the Gewürztraminer. At the same time, there is a wish to revive certain traditional methods of wine making. In short : a unique know-how combining tradition and modernity. The Kox family perpetuates this in-house tradition while looking for excellence in its wines.

Family winegrower for five generations, the family cultivates great vineyards in the Luxembourg Moselle region such as Remich Primerberg and Goldberg, Wellenstein Foulschette and Kurschels. Domaine Mathis Bastian maintains its vines by, among other things, careful trellising, precise pruning, seeding with green manure and mechanical tillage to keep the soil alive. This multiple targeted care is given to the vines throughout the year to produce beautiful grapes of exemplary organoleptic quality. They have chosen integrated viticulture in order to bring the vineyards to an economically profitable, socially sustainable culture with a lower environmental footprint.

The new Desom Pavillon was opened in 2012. Its resolutely chic, minimalist design by no means diminishes the warm and friendly atmosphere that prevails in this hub of interaction, relaxation and sheer pleasure.

Whether sat indoors or on the terrace in their magnificent, leafy setting on the Moselle, the Desom Pavillon’s chef recommends taking your time to savour dishes made with fresh seasonal produce that are as tasty as the portions are generous, with the estate’s wines providing an exquisite accompaniment.

The Domaine Desom located in Remich, close to the bank of the Moselle, enjoy the beautiful view over the river with a glass of wine or crémant.

This long-established and perfectly equipped winery produces aromaic and accessible wines, complex and respecting the terrois.

As vintners and wine merchants since 4 generations in the valley of the Luxemburgish Moselle river, our estate is right in the heart of Europe. The range of our products includes quality wines of the 9 varieties grown in our appellation, as well as Sparkling wines, Crémants and other specials.

If you are following Luxembourg’s Wine Route, you must visit the prestigious Caves St Martin winery just outside Remich, known as the “Pearl of the Moselle”. Take a guided tour, including wine tasting, during which you will walk to the heart of the underground tunnels – nearly a kilometre long – that have been carved into the solid limestone rock. After exploring the wine-tasting cellar and shop, you can relax on the terrace overlooking the Moselle. The Caves St Martin hosts many workshops and special events, and refreshments are available from the Pavilion Saint-Martin. Warm clothing is recommended because the temperature in the tunnels is a constant, damp 12°C.
